to the site of Eta Baithute, Sotho for 'Travel so they can learn'.
The foundation has the aim to sponsor educational projects in southern Africa. The idea of this foundation was started by the founders when they visited Lesotho, an enclave in South Africa. The spirit and the energy of the people “who often live in poor condition” is very contagious. Nothing is too much work for them, and all the earnings are ploughed back into the community.
We want to reach our goals by stimulate travelers to donate to the projects we support. Partnership with travel organizations is very important to reach our goals. The people accompanying the travelling groups come at the places our projects run at a regular basis. They can be our eyes and ears. But you also, as a traveler. We are very interested to hear your stories about the places we sponsor projects.
The first area for our activities is Malealea in Lesotho. A trust fund there is active to recruit sponsors, for e.g. school projects. The thought behind this is; that through learning and knowledge the community can escape the poverty trap.
